New MN Law Postponing Foreclosures

MaryAlice Short wrote a great article about how the State of Minnesota has now enacted a law to allow the homeowner to delay the sheriff’s sale up to five months.  This applies to Saint Paul Homes and everywhere!  Here is the only catch:  If you are unable to bring the mortgage current during the five month postponement your redemption period is shortened from six months to five weeks. This means that after the foreclosure sale you only have five weeks to vacate the property or be evicted.  Read more about it MN Short Sale Realtor
